The following requirements apply to those who wish to serve as a temporary judge:

In order for my application to be considered, I will submit two letters of reference to the Temporary Judge Administrator (TJP@scscourt.org), under separate submission.

Pursuant to the Fair Political Practices Commission’s (FPPC) Statement of Economic Interest – Form 700  , I understand that if I serve more than 30 days or more in a calendar year I will be required to complete a Form 700 and file it with the FPPC .

I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that the foregoing, including statements made in all emails sent to the court regarding this application, is true and correct. I understand that any misstatement or omission of material fact may disqualify me from serving as a temporary judge.

Neither court appointment nor service of an attorney as a temporary judge or as a settlement attorney establishes an employment relationship between the court and the attorney. Attorneys are appointed and serve voluntarily as temporary judges or as a settlement attorney solely at the discretion of the presiding judge. (CRC 2.811 )
