The Small Claims Advisor can help you get ready for Court. The Advisor can help you:

    • Figure out which court to file your claim in
    • File papers in Small Claims Court
    • Serve paper
    • Present and defend a case in court
    • Collect a judgment

If you have a Small Claims question for the Advisor, you may submit it on-line using the form below, and we will contact you by email. (Due to current staffing levels, it will take at least 2 weeks to get a response.) This is the most efficient way for you to receive assistance, and you are encouraged to use the on-line method for help with your questions.

If you do not have an email address, you may leave a telephone message for the Small Claims Advisor in English or Spanish, and your call will be returned as time permits (it will take at least 2 weeks) during the hours of 2:30 pm through 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. The phone service has limited hours. The Advisor is only available Monday through Friday from 2:30 - 4 pm. (You can leave a message between 2:30 and 4 pm if your call is not answered "live" by the Small Claims Advisor. Your call will be returned within 5 business days.)
